Manual Button on Battery - Batteries are OFF when they arrive (you will need to turn them on to use)
Boge & Innokin batteries: 3 clicks on the button to turn ON or OFF, You can test to see whether it is ON or OFF by pressing the button once - if it is ON, a light will come on. If it is OFF, no light will come on when pushed. To use your battery, push & hold the manual button on the battery during the entire time you are inhaling. When finished inhaling, release the button. For a stronger throat hit, press the button a few seconds first than start inhaling. With Boge & Innokin batteries, the green light will turn orange or yellow when the charge starts to weaken. When charging, the light on the battery will always come on (even when the battery is turned off). When it is finished charging, the light will go out. Don't forget to turn it on before trying to use it again.
Mini Ego & Ego C Twist: 5 clicks on the button to turn ON or OFF. You will see the light blink 3 times to signal that you turned it ON or OFF. You can test to see whether it is ON or OFF by pressing the button once - if it is ON, a light will come on. If it is OFF, no light will come on when pushed. To use your battery, push & hold the manual button on the battery during the entire time you are inhaling. When finished inhaling, release the button. For a stronger throat hit, press the button a few seconds first than start inhaling. White light will flash several times to indicate the need for charging. When charging, the usb indicator light will be red (charging) or green (done charging). Make sure to use the correct usb cable for each of these to ensure proper function. Trying to charge a Mini Ego with an Ego C Twist cord (and vice versa) may not charge properly.
Filling Boge Leo Cartomizers
Screw the cartomizer onto the battery. Then, in a clockwise direction, gently twist and pull until the black outer covering comes off. (Don’t worry, this will not harm the battery and will get easier to remove after one or two times). Unscrew and remove the cartomizer from the battery. Using a paperclip, pop off the rubber cap by inserting the paperclip into the center hole slightly. The initial filling will take appx. 3-4mls of e-liquid. Sit the cartomizer upright on a napkin so the fluff side is up. Using an e-liquid injector (syringe), slide the needle down the side of the fluff. Be careful not to push the fluff down while inserting the needle. Also, do not fill using the center hole in the fluff as the e liquid will just leak out the bottom. Slowly inject the e-liquid until you start to see liquid saturating the top of the fluff. Overfilling will create waste as it will just drip out the other end. Place the rubber cap back on the cartomizer and let it sit for a minute while any excess drips out the bottom. When the excess stops, dab that end and then screw it back on the battery. Once screwed on, in a clockwise twisting and pushing motion, insert the black outer covering. Refill when the flavor dulls, usually after a day or two of use. Refills will only take appx. 1-2mls of e-liquid. Replace the cartomizer when it becomes difficult to draw on.
**Caution: Do not place the black cover on the cartomizer until the cartomizer is screwed back onto the battery. If this happens, it will prevent you from screwing the cartomizer back onto the battery entirely and it will be difficult for you to remove. Also, if you start to hear gurgling, unscrew the cartomizer & dab any excess liquid in the battery & cartomizer end
Filling Dual Coil Cartomizers (Leo & Ego)
Unscrew cartomizer from the battery. Twist off the rubber mouthpiece and sit the cartomizer upright on a napkin with the fluff side up. The initial filling will take appx. 3-4 mls of e-liquid. Using an e-liquid injector (syringe), slide the needle down the side of the fluff. Be careful not to push the fluff down while inserting the needle. Also, do not put the needle into the center hole in the fluff as this will damage the unit & just leak out the bottom. Slowly inject the e-liquid just until you start to see liquid coming up. Do not keep filling to saturate the top - less is better than too much. This will cause overfilling and gurgling when the unit is put back together. Replace the rubber mouthpiece by twisting it back on. Let it sit on a napkin for a minute so any excess can drain out. Screw the cartomizer onto the battery. Refill when the flavor dulls, usually after a day or two of use. Refills will only take appx. 1-2mls of e-liquid. Replace the cartomizer when it becomes difficult to draw on.
**Caution: Cartomizers is easy to overfill causing a gurgling sound, difficult drawl & decreased vapor production. To prevent this, make sure you stop filling at the first sign of e-liquid coming up through the top layer of fluff. If overfilling happens and you hear the gurgling, blow into the top (where the mouthpiece inserts) - make sure you have a napkin in hand when doing this. This will remove any excess liquid in the cartomizer. Now dab any excess liquid from both the battery end and the cartomizer threads. Repeat this until the gurgling stops and then you will be ready to use it.
Filling Leo CE Dual Coil Clearomizers
Screw the new clearomizer onto the battery. Remove the black mouthpiece & set aside. Looking at the inner white rubber stopper, locate the small hole near the side wall (not the larger center hole) - this is difficult to see so look closely. The first time you use a clearomizer, you will need to pierce this tiny hole with a pin or needle, as it is not completely open all the way through. Using a small guage needle or our flex tip cartridge filling needle, fill the clearomizer 50% of the way with your favorite e liquid. Dry the white stopper with a paper towel after filling. Now, put the black mouthpiece back on. Let the clearomizer sit for 30 minutes to saturate the strings inside - then happy vaping!
***If you hear a gurgling sound or are not getting enough vapor, remove the black mouthpiece and dry the white stopper. It is normal to have to do this occassionally due to the condensation that forms both in here and in the mouthpiece.
Filling Ego CE Dual Coil Clearomizers
Filling is simple - just unscrew the mouthpiece and fill up the tank, being careful not to get liquid in the center hole on the spike. Doing so will cause the liquid to leak out of the bottom.
Filling 510 DCT Cartomizers
Remove the drip tip & fill the inner silver cartomizer until you begin to see the liquid saturating the fluff on top- (stay clear of the center hole when filling). Once the inner cartomizer is filled, reinsert the drip tip and push it slightly inside the tank - this will allow the silver cartomizer to slide partially down, allowing you to pull it out further on the other end. Only pull it out as much as is needed to then fill the outer tank with e liquid. When finished filling, push the silver cartomizer back up into the tank - when fully repositioned back in place, replace the drip tip. Screw this onto your battery and you are you are ready to use.
Note: When inserting a new replacement silver cartomizer for your DCT, remove the white plug & discard. Also, when using, be careful not to pull the tank up accidentally, as the liquid inside will come out.
Filling Standard Cartridges (used with standard atomizers)
Remove cartridge from outer white shell and take off the small rubber protector to expose the white fluff. Using a dropper, fill the cartridge until the fluff is completely saturated. Push the cartridge into the atomizer. Do not spin the cartridge or turn while it is in the atomizer. This may cause damage to the atomizer bridge. If you need to reposition the cartridge, pull it out in a straight motion and then reposition and push it back down. Refill the cartridge when the flavor dulls, usually a few times per day. Replace the cartridge when fluff is no longer effective and flavor does not come through.
*Tip - To extend the life of the cartridge: After a while, the fluff compresses in the cartridge causing decreased flavor and strength. Using a paperclip or tweezers, gently lift the fluff to bring it up to the edge of the cartridge. This allows for better contact of the e-liquid with the atomizer bridge.
Filling Tank Cartridges
Remove the rubber cap from the bottom of the tank cartridge Fill the cartridge with e liquid, leaving a tiny bit unfilled. Replace the rubber cap, ensuring that it is lined up correctly with the rest of the cartridge. Insert firmly into tank atomizer. Firm pressure should be applied to ensure that the tank cartride is fully inserted.
**Note that tank cartridges work best if discarded after a few refills - once you detect leaking, discard the tank & use a new one.
Filling CE4's, Ego CE Clearomizers, iClear 16 & 30 Clearomizers, Vivi Nova, Innokin XL Clearomizers
Simply unscrew the mouthpiece and drip liquid down the side of the tank. Avoid getting liquid in center hole as this will just leak out the bottom. Tips: Roll the liquid to the top of the wicks to keep them saturated before puffing. Tip your e cig upside down to drain condenstion build-up in the tip occassionally & before removing mouthpiece to refill. This prevents condensation from entering the tank & diluting liquid.
Filling Kanger Protank Clearomizers
Unscrew the bottom of the clearomizer and fill with e liquid ensuring that you do not fill over the center post. Ensure that the coil is firmly screwed into place, as they sometimes arrive loose from the manufacturer. Replace the bottom piece and allow to sit for 30 minutes before using. To replace the coil, simply remove the bottom piece, unscrew the old coil, and screw on a new one. Your Protank will be like new again.
Tips & Tricks: The Kanger Protanks require a break in period which could take up to a couple of days, depending on your equipment and vaping habits. The pull will be airy initially, as the vacuum builds up inside the tank. Once the vacuum reaches a certain level (after about 10 or 15minutes of use), the pull will tighten and vapor production will increase. One of the secrets about using these is taking long, steady pulls instead of short, hard ones. Also, to prevent leaking or gurgling, top off your Protank when it gets to only 1/3 full. If the liquid level gets too low, you will loose the vacuum and the pull will become airy again - this is when leaking/gurgling may occur.
Filling iClear 10 clearomizers
To fill these, pop off the entire top plug to expose the inner tank. Drip liquid down the side of the tank until you reach the fill line. Avoid getting liquid in center hole as this will just leak out the bottom. Condensation will build up in the tip - simply remove the upper part of the plug and dry. Tips: Roll the liquid to the top of the wicks to keep them saturated before puffing.
Replacing Coil Heads on iClear 16 & 30 Clearomizers, Vivi Nova's & H1 Clearomizers
Simply open the tank (while empty), unscrew the old coil head and screw on a new one. Reassemble tank and your ready to vape.
Filling & Replacing the Coil Heads in the Hello Twins Clearomizer
Disassemble the clearomizer by first removing the top tank (unscrew the top metal cap to expose the inner tank). Next, unscrew the bottom tank from the top tank, so that the inner parts on the bottom tank is open. Fill each tank (about 3/4 the way up) and reassemble the tanks together again. (You can vape using just the bottom tank only or stack the two tanks together). To replace the coils, make sure the tanks are empty. You can replace the coil by unscrewing the top or bottom of each of the two tanks. Just screw off the old coil and screw on a new one. Reassemble and vape!
